5- skateboarding doesn't owe you anything. Someday you're going to be old. You are gonna lose tricks. Someone will film the exact same trick at the exact same spot years later. somewhere out there somebody's always better than you. you can accept it and embrace who you are and just enjoy skateboarding for what it is or you could be bitter and miserable, the choice is yours, but skateboarding doesn't owe you anything.

4- The brotherhood. Skateboarding doesn't care what ethnicity, social class,  sexuality or even what sex you are, no matter what, you are one of us.

3-skateboarding heals. There's something therapeutic about being able to get out get away from whatever's bothering you in life and just roll around

2-strong work ethic. Takes a special kind of person to take a slam and get up and want to keep trying that's the determination, that's the drive that defines skateboarder from poser.

1- if you give skateboarding everything, skateboarding will give back to you.
